The Cow says: "Moo"
Tonight I was reading A a book and I asked her what the cow said. At first she said "Woof, Woof" but when I told her the cow says Moo she kept saying Moo over and over. She would crinkle up her nose and shut her eyes tight and say "Moo" real loud. I have to get me a camcorder soon.

Bed Please!
Thursday night A was wanting something and I asked if she wanted a drink. She pushed it away, then pushed the food I offered away. I asked her if she wanted to go to bed and she signed "please." I got her ready, put her in her crib, said her prayers and goodnight, and walked out of the room. Moments later she was asleep. I never thought that A would ask me to put her to bed.

Junk Mail
I discovered last night what junk mail is good for. While your cleaning your kitchen and your one-year-old wants to "help" you give her pieces of junk mail (one at a time) to put in the trash. She feels she's helped and you get your cleaning done. :)
Woof, Woof
Two days ago A was wanting something and I asked her "What do you say?" I was hoping to get the response of her signing please. A looked at me and said, "Woof, Woof!"

A's new things
My little A is getting so big and learning so much. I've been trying to teach her some sign language. The other day at dinner she wanted something so I told her to say please. I didn't use the sign as I sometimes do, but she rubbed her chest the way I'd been teaching her to. I was so excited!
She says OH, NO!!; No, no, no; Bible; and just today: more. We'll still be working with her to either say or sign drink and eat.

Funnies
So the other day at work, amid changing and feeding screaming children, my co-worker T clicked someone in and then asked me who it was. I described the lady to her and she said, "Oh, that's one of the twins mom. Either E or O, I can't remember which." To which I replied, "Well, E and O are brothers so wouldn't that make her both of their moms?" We had a good laugh about that one.
One of our parents came in yesterday to pick up his child. I watched as he pulled away then pulled right back up. He gets out of the car and opens the back door, looks around, opens the front passenger door and looks around. Then he comes in and asks us if we've seen his sunglasses. T looks right at him and says, "They're on your head Hon." That poor dad.

Star of the Month Updated
Here is what I wrote about A:
A G H was born May 19, 2008 in Panama City, FL. She weighed 5 pounds 12 ounces and was 18 inches long. In August of 2008 we moved back to Ayden, NC. She loves to play her daddy’s piano and talk on the cell phone. A loves to eat just about anything you give her, but especially loves spaghetti and fruit (even kiwi). Her favorite game is hide-and-seek. Her favorite toy is any cell phone you let her play with. She also loves to dance to music.
And these are the pics we ended up using:

A and Ice Cream
Thursday, I'm sitting in my classroom and I can hear my daughter screaming in her classroom. I'm sitting there thinking what on earth? A little while later A's teacher tells me why she was screaming. They'd been eating ice cream for snack and she was going to town. Her teacher said they turned to see what was the matter and A was sitting there with her hand on her head screaming because of the ice cream headache she'd given herself. Poor baby, she'll have to learn not to eat so fast.

N and Pinto Beans
The other day my husband, N, decided to make some pinto beans to go with our dinner. This is all good and fine because A and I both like pintos. After dinner I put away the food and I saw we had a lot of pintos left. I get down the biggest container to put the beans in and fill it up. Then I get down another container the same size and fill it up. Then I get another container a tab bit smaller and fill it up. So here I am with 3 containers of pintos. I call N in to see the container and ask why we have so many left over. "Well," he says, "when I opened the first bag it didn't look like much so I opened another." He had fixed 2 pounds of pintos for a family of 3. Suffice it to say I'm tired of pintos now.

Star of the Month
The daycare that I work at has what they call a Star of the Month for each class. My little A has been chosen for Star of the Month for her class for August. I now have to type up a paragraph about A and chose some pics for them to post. I've already picked some pics but I need to pick some more. Here are some that I've picked so far.

Yard Sale Blues
I had a yard sale today, but it was a bust. I made a whole $9. I'm going to try again next week though. I have one gentelman who is going to come next week and see if I have any nicknacks he may want to use as prizes for the bingo game he runs for senior citizens. I'm going to see if my co-worker wants to join me this time. On the upside if things don't go well, I've found someone who will buy all my stuff from me and then they will resell it for their own profit.
